Bella has not eaten properly for 5 days. Took her to the vet 2 days ago, no temperature, they gave her pain killer, she was better the rest of the day, still not eating until that evening. Then she was sick the following morning and had diarrhea ( 3 days after initial not eating started), As she was very weak and lethargic and also crying before being sick took her to vet again yesterday. All vital signs checked ok, they gave her something to make her feel less sick and also some paste to improve her appetite, Heart and breathing ok. I am really worried as she is still eating very little and the vet can’t seem to find out what is wrong. She is not urinating much...

Our chihuahua has what appears to be a rash all over and it's making her very itchy. Just noticed it this morning as blotchy red areas on her stomach, but we think it is other areas too. Is there a home remedy for this, like a small dose of benadryl? We don't think she ate anything unusual nor had contact with anything that she normally doesn't.

Rash and Irritation with hair loss
Posted on 2007/12/13 by WilliamButch has got terrible raised angry looking red welts on the back of his neck and in between his shoulder blades with patchy hair loss.We have had him at two different vets and they have carried out various tests but all to no avail. It was thought that this may be an infection of sorts and as such he has had two lots of anti biotics. These have not worked either. We have tried Carmosa ointment this also hasnt worked. This is now spreading and looking considerably angrier. My wife has returned to the vets today for a third time. Can you help or advise?

sensitivity in lower back/tail
Posted on 2007/12/20 by nadineIn the last few days, when I just even stroke my dogs lower back, just above the tail, she will twist to either side, sometimes even lowering herself into a sit as if I am really scratching her back, but i,m not. lso she has been occasionally biting just at the root of the tail where it joins the back. She is fine when she goes out for walk and has no problem running. she doesn,t appear to be in pain. she is due in season, could it be just this, but she has never twisted her lower back like this. Please help

Middle cat is making a weird noise since new kitten came home
Posted on 2007/12/21 by DanielleOur middle cat Cal is our loudest cat but after the kitten (evie)came home both older cats were hissing at each other and evie. We were wondering if a cat can get laryngitis from hissing. She occasionally does a yowl now but is now sounding hoarse when she meows. We are taking our oldest cat fudge and evie to the vet (fudge had crystalization in the summer) to see if they are doing ok. Could cal have caught a virus from evie or could this be parasites. Evie has been passing gas since we brought her home but we changed her food from hard to soft due to fudge's crystalization of his urinary tract. Should I be worried about the weird sound she's making or is it...
