bloody nose.
Posted on 2008/02/03 by UserMy sister called me this morning about her cat. It was sneezing and had a little bloody mucus come out.he seems very active and not phased by this. Are cats prone to having bloody noses or is this something she should be worried about?

Doesn't like to be picked up and held.
Posted on 2008/02/16 by KimberlyBoots was originally a stray (believe a lost cat the owners never claimed). She is the only pet I have and I live alone. Although she does have "affection" actions, she has never liked to be picked up and held. The ONLY time is at the Vet's and that is because she is scared. Is there anything I can do to add this to our "affectionate" behaviors? I have never owned a cat where I could not pick them up and hold them.

What is wrong?
Posted on 2008/02/17 by TraceyMilo has CRF, which is being treated at home with IV Fluids. I took him to the vet one week ago for a checkup and because he seems so boney. He has lost 2.5 lbs in a year and he has been sleeping alot lately. He has also been struggling with constipation for quite a few years and vomits often after he does poop. Since being at the vet one week ago, he hasn't pooped since that day, hasn't hardly eaten anything, vomited today with nothing in his stomach and he was been urinating in his kitty bed, which he has NEVER done. I have to wait until Monday to bring him back to the vet, but does anyone have any clue what is wrong with him? His bloodwork came back actually...

I have had a stray mixed breed outside dog for 6 years. I estimate his age to be 7 or 8 years. Yesterday he appeared to be fine - playing, eating and normal behaviour. Last night I noticed he was limping - which has progressed to both front and back legs stiff and weak. I have manipulted his leges looking for muscle soreness broken bones, sores or bites. I found nothing. Neither did he appear to be botherd by my checking. I kept him inside last night (which is something he generally does not tolerate) and he appears to be worse this morning. he was lethargic but also moved around quite a bitlike he was trying to get comfortable. He ate a little this morning and...

elimination habits
Posted on 2007/12/13 by MichelleI'm puzzled as to why my cat will only defecate in the bath tub. She urinates in the litter box 100% of the time, but will only have bowel movements in the toilet. There are multiple litter boxes in our home, I've made sure they're in private locations, and I've tried a variety of litter. Each time she goes, I clean the spot with a spray-on bleach product, then follow up with a spot-eliminator product. It seems like no matter what I try, she insists on leaving "tootsie rolls" twice a day. Any suggestions?
