neuter incision wound reaction / infection
Posted on 2007/12/19 by LindsayMy 7 month old puppy was neutered about 3 weeks ago. The wound has healed, however, there is some redness now. There is a blister-like wound right beside the area (but not over it) and two other red spots on the area. He is in absolutely no pain, even when i touch the area. I don't know how to clean it or if i should. should i be terribly worried or could it be from getting dirty after healing, licking, etc.?

My cat is losing fur in chunks
Posted on 2008/02/07 by UserI've noticed that my cat had a patch of fur missing a few weeks ago with a cut and thought it was from a fight. Now she has 2 big open wounds and from her mid stomach to back legs, has no fur. The fur dissapearing and the open wounds are making me nervous. Any ideas?

What is wrong wiht her?
Posted on 2008/02/10 by StephanieOK, I think my cat is pregnet. She is eating a lot more and her belly is swolen. But the biggerst concern is that she has been loosing alot of hair around her belly. At first it was on her hind end and bottom of her tail. But now it's her whole belly and some areas of her legs. I thought some one has been playing a prank and shaving her but I'm keeping her form going out side so now i know it's not. My husband noticed that her fur was almost gone on her sides tonight! I'm extremly concerned. We don't have much money to take her to a vet, but if she's in serious trouble we will. Oh, and there are no scabs from scratching either. Her poo is a yellowish color.

cat sprain
Posted on 2008/02/11 by UserOur cat injured his front right paw. We took him to the vet and she said that he was bumped or kicked, and she gave him a shot. He still favors that paw, could it be something worse or should I just wait it out. The vet figured it would take a couple weeks. jjtoner

sick dog ??????
Posted on 2008/02/12 by corinneI reacently adopted her, 2-8-08, she had just come out of heat a couple of week earlier, then she was spayed, she had also spent the previous weekend at the vets office for diharea. There she was treated for whip worms. I took her to my vet yesterday and she had her stitches removed. The rest of the day when we came home she wouldn't eat. She just slept all day. Then this morning she started to act as if she was going to vomit and she threw up a lot of flim. I didn't know if this behavior is do to the rought last few weeks she's had or at what point should I be concerned? Thank you for your help. Corinne Riggs

My cat has been vomiting without any other symptoms. It is just undigested food we have never seen anything that looks like a hairball. If we could avoid a vet visit that would be great but I don't want to neglect this situation. We have changed cat food to the sensitive system variety but she has vomited after the change. What do you think?
