  • vomiting

My cat has been vomiting without any other symptoms. It is just undigested food we have never seen anything that looks like a hairball. If we could avoid a vet visit that would be great but I don't want to neglect this situation. We have changed cat food to the sensitive system variety but she has vomited after the change. What do you think?

  • sick dog ??????

I reacently adopted her, 2-8-08, she had just come out of heat a couple of week earlier, then she was spayed, she had also spent the previous weekend at the vets office for diharea. There she was treated for whip worms. I took her to my vet yesterday and she had her stitches removed. The rest of the day when we came home she wouldn't eat. She just slept all day. Then this morning she started to act as if she was going to vomit and she threw up a lot of flim. I didn't know if this behavior is do to the rought last few weeks she's had or at what point should I be concerned? Thank you for your help. Corinne Riggs

  • Lost puppy and want to know why

My husband and I got a Siberian Husky from a pet store 4 weeks ago. She seemed sick since the day we got her, we thought it was because she was stressed. She had diarrhea. We took her to the vet several times because we didn’t want her to get dehydrated. He put her on some different meds. Nothing helped. Wednesday night (30th of January) she started to act really freaked out and crying so we thought she was in pain. We took her to the vet on Thursday and she started to have many of seizures in one hour, at this time I was balling because I didn’t know what was going on. The vet took her home to his house overnight to watch her. He called Friday and said he h ...

  • Skin COndition

My long haired belgian shepherd has a small (approximately 1/4" around and 1/8" high) knot on her back. It is located on the left side approximately 3" from the centerline and 6 inches forward of her tail. I suspect that it is incidental to flea bites since it came up before I cut her hair and treated for fleas. It has not gone down in about 4 weeks. There is no evidence of it being an infection (no pus or core) but it does seem tender to the touch.

  • cat sprain

Our cat injured his front right paw. We took him to the vet and she said that he was bumped or kicked, and she gave him a shot. He still favors that paw, could it be something worse or should I just wait it out. The vet figured it would take a couple weeks. jjtoner

  • Peeing in Sleep

We adopted a dog back in August. The man that brought him to the shelter advised that the dog had been living in a crate covered in feces and urine, left without food or water after his owner passed away. Apparently both dog and owner were undiscovered in the house for some time. We aren't sure if that story is true, but one thing is certain, the dog was emaciated and his fur urine stained. Best guess, our boy is around three years old and he was intact upon adoption. We had him neutered in September, immediately after bringing him home. I anticipated that he may deviate from the "norm" and defficate when crated, given that he became so used to it. That h ...

  • Cat not drinking water

My cat was drinking water heavily fro the past week and also urinating heavily. About 24 hrs ago he stopped eating and drinking. How long can a cat survive without drinking water?

  • My 2 year old dog has been vomiting quite regualarly (once or twice a day for three weeks now. She always just pukes up bile (bright yellow and foamy). I've watched her and it seems like when she moves suddenly that's when she vomits (like when she goes from sleeping to waking up and jumping off the bed suddenly for one example). Other than the vomiting, her behaviour is very normal. She's eating, drinking, no diarrhea, no blood in her puke or poop, she's playful... I've taken her to the vet and they took a blook sample from her and her urea counts were high. We also have submitted a urine sample, the results of which are not back yet. They are stumped by her too a ...
