I bought this dog about 3 weeks ago at a auction. She was not taken care of very well. All they used her for was breeding. I am wondering what I can do to get her to gain weight. She is really skinny. I have wormed her and starting giving her vitimans. I let her eat when ever she wants, I always leave food out for her. Is ther anything else I can do. Thanks

Dog is vomitting and having loose stooles, no blood or parasites present in either. Thoughts???

Dog hates the car
Posted on 2008/04/12 by jacki have a 13 year old boston terrier who hates to ride in the car...have taken her to get a hamburger or ice cream.. nothing works.. when medicated from the vet she still pants and shakes. have tried all kinds of rewars when gettin into the car too no avail..do you have any suggestions as we are goin on an exteded trip..love her so much but is a pain... thamks for any help you can suggesr.. have thought a do phsic but not sure where to start thanks again

Clipped nail is bleeding
Posted on 2008/04/13 by Userlast night I clipped my dog's toenail too short and put sugar on it to get the beeding to slow down. Wrapped it in gauze and taped it. This morning after she went outside and it looks like it is soaking through bandage. Any suggestions to keep it from bleeding?

Puppy won't gain weight
Posted on 2008/04/13 by genawe recently adopted a puppy from an animal shelter. we have had her for about 3 1/2 weeks, she was kind of skinny when we got her and even though we feed her regularly, 3 small portions a day is what our vet said to do, she doesn't seem to be gaining any weight. last night when we gave her a bath she shed an unusual amount of hair and today her nose has been running the same way as a persons does. what can i do? please help. she is 5 1/2 months old.
