My 10 day old pup is not doing well, he is not gaining weight and he has vomitted twice, he is half the size of the second smallest pup. He is fighting to live, I feed him separately from the others so i know he got a good long feeding. I also hear a bit of rattling in his chest. is there anything i can do for him?

Posted on 2007/12/23 by MelissaI took my puppy to the vet and they said they thought he had fading puppy syndrome and put him on antibiotics. Im glad you suggested i go to the vet because since he has been on the meds he made a full recovery. right now im having a problem, one of my puppies has developed a rash on his tummy, Madison is on antibiotics and i don't know if it is negativly affecting the puppies, my vet said the meds would not affect them so I am woundering why the rash, could it be because there blanket needs washed? could there urine be affecting them?

guinea pigs (not sadie)
Posted on 2007/12/27 by julieEvery time we get guinea pigs (we always get 2) they live for a few months maybe a year and they die. They don't eat or drink much if at all, their eyes become dull and sink in and they eventually lay on their side with shallow breathing. They blead through their but as we discover when we go to burry them. They got clened out every 3 days. We have a rabbit inside as well as Zebra Finches and a dove. They all are in one room. We tried disenfecting the cage and even let it sit for a year and a half before getting any more. Our rabbit isn't affected at all. Any ideas what might be happening and is ther any point to getting new ones?

introducing guinea pigs
Posted on 2008/01/03 by SARAHI had a pair of guinea pigs but one has recently passed away (at 7 1/2 years old) i am left with a 1 year old female. She seems ok a little quieter than normal but eating and drinking fine. I would like to introduce her to a new pig but how is the best way to do this?

My cat is 5 1/2 years old. Over the last several days, she has been vomiting 4 times a day. Her food has not changed, though we did change the brand of litter last week. The vomit is mostly watery with few signs of food digested. In addition, she is slightly overweight since she is an indoor cat. She also has a strange habit of not enjoying her food if the kibbles are crumbs. Should we be very concerned and take her to a vet immediately?

My 12 yr. Dalmation has developed Arthrits in her shoulders. She is taking 1 low dose asprin a day, via my vet. It helps, I am concerned this may effect her belly. Do you have a sugestions on a natural jiont inflamitory.
