How can I reduce mucus in a cat with asthma? She is taking prednisolone and terbutaline. She vomits white, thick, foamy, silky mucus every time she eats. She is constantly licking her mouth and try to cough up and wipe away the mucus.

My 5 year old male cat has recently lost a lot of weight. At first it was gradual and seemed like a blessing as he was overweight. He seemed extremely playful, even more energetic than before. It seemed like nothing to worry about. It wasnt until just recently I started to believe him to be ill. Here are his symptoms: Weight loss, increased appetite to now no appetite, weaker and weaker especially in his back legs. I believe it to be diabetes but I dont know and I need help. He hasnt been to the vet since he was neutered about 2 years ago. We are taking him tomorrow but is there anything I can do right now to help? He wont eat but just keeps drinking which is upsetting...

We used to have an older male cat that had behavioral problems and sprayed throughout the house; now my male kitten who is nuetered has started spraying but only in some areas that the other cat used to. Is he trying to mark his territory? What can I do to stop him from doing this?

high blood sugar
Posted on 2008/04/26 by beckymy cat has been being treted for diabetes for one month now. He has not been responding well to the insulin. His does was increased 1 week ago to 1 unit, and now his blood sugar has been running in the high 500's, it registered at 600 tonight. I have been in constant contact with my vet, the only one in town, and he says there is nothing really to do for high level, and not to increase his dosage. I am at a total loss, and worrying constantly. Please, any advice!! Thank you, Becky
