  • Can't Won't Eat

My 13 year old cat had surgery last week to have some growths removed from her ears. Her ears are fine now but she has been back to the vet and emergency hospital several times because she isn't eating (she did not have this issue prior to the surgery). She is obviously hungry (she begs for her treats) but she either won't eat or won't keep the food in her mouth. It appears that she is having trouble smelling the food. Could this inability to smell be a result of the surgery, the anesthesia (she had gas, not a tube in her mouth), or Clavamox (she vomited after one dose so we stopped it)? Have you ever seen anything like this? I'm desperate to help my cat and get...

  • Hi, I am a Canadian, but I live in China, and a good vet is non-existant. They have one, and all they do is feed my nonsense and charge me really high bills, all my chinese co-workers say they are ripping me off because I am a foreigner here. I need help, my baby is sick with CCV, she took some medication at the vet once, than I brought her home and I keep her confined in the kitchen, and my other dog, Hades, he's out in the living room in a playpen. I disinfect the place everyday, I clean up her stool and then bleach the floor, she hasn't had diarreah since she got back, the vet said don't give her anymore meds, but she threw up this morning. It was whitish, but had no...

  • severe laceration

Hobie got hit by a truck this afternoon, he received numerous cuts and abrasions, but the worst one is on his front left leg at joint where his elbow creases. it seem he lost some of his hide and should be stitched. but impossible at this time or anytime soon. we used hydrogen peroxide and gauze and stretch wrap to cover it for now but i dont think he'll leave it .we also used neosporin .question :should we leave it on or let him lick it and redo procedure tomorrow, also what kind of pain med is best? we gave him bufferin. he weighs around 85 lbs.

  • Goats and Dogs

Do Pygmy goats and dogs get along?...I am thinking about getting a pygmy but I have a 5 month old half lab half st bernard (sweet sweet puppy) and I was hoping that they would play well together.

  • chicken back

Brody got into the trash and ate the chicken back no other bones... will this hurt him he seems to be fine.

  • My dog is very lethargic and panting a lot. We went to the vet yesterday and they took blood, urine, etc...., but she seems to have gotten worse. I took her temperature today and it is 101.3...normal. She is just very out of it, and seems to be depressed. Also the panting and breathing heavily is bad. She's a golden retriever, 7 years old, on thyroid medication(soloxine), has allergies(takes an antihistamine daily too), and tends to have a very sensitive belly. She may also be having an increase in the number of times she is urinating. Or it just may be because of the hot weather, and I am giving her a lot more water daily. I don't know if I should take her to...
