We had Amos on Deramaxx for 11 days and his ALT level went from 91 to 160. We have stopped the Deramaxx, but are unsure if putting him on Tramadol now makes sense. I have also been starting him on Milk Thistle.

My kitten has sores around his body and...
Posted on 2008/03/04 by JessicaI got my kitten fixed less than a month ago, and since he came back, he has been getting sores on his face, around his mouth, and when he gets these sores, his eyes swell up a bit [not enough to obstruct his vision, but enough to be noticable], and he gets eye discharge. His ears are waxy, and the wax is a dark brown color. He gets sores on his body that resemble psoriasis or excema outbreaks. His fur covers the sores though. The past few days he has had diarrhea and been vomiting on and off, but he has been drinking, and I know he isn't dehydrated, I think he might have tried to eat a plant out in our front yard or something. However, I am worried that it...

Left out in the cold.
Posted on 2008/03/04 by NydiaCapullo was left out on a nice day, it was supposed to snow later in the day and my mother left him outside over night. When I got home at 8am I found him covered in snow and ice and he's been throwing up should I take him to see a vet? He seemed fine other wise.

Increased Panting and thirst
Posted on 2008/03/04 by MaximilianI've noticed my 8 month old golder retiever is panting a lot more in non-active settings. He also drinking a lot more water. He was neutered 6 weeks ago so I am not sure if this is contributing. I live in Atlanta GA and the wether has gotten a little bit warmer which could be a factor. Does these seem normal or should I take him into the Vet? Thanks, Max

Persian with urinary blockage
Posted on 2008/03/27 by Usermy persian male cat who is 5 years old had a urinary blockage and i had to take him to a emergency vet hospital last night who put in a cathater to remove particles. He was clear after the 2nd flush and they told me that they recommend a fluid treatment but I had already spent way too much and basically took him home to take care of him. They removed the catheter the next morning and gave me some canon royal to feed him and told me to put water out all over the house. So when we got home he peed alittle and then ate a tiny bit of the wet food but has barely drank any water. He's very upset and hasn't been trying to get any attention. He also looks a bit tired. So what...

Cockatiel health
Posted on 2007/12/16 by keithHi,I'd like your help and suggestions if possible. My 18 yr old cockateil seems to be behaving differently lately, we've noticed that he seems to now prefer to sleep and play at the bottom darker part of his cage.(he usualy always sleeps on his perches.) His large cage is always open for him to come out and fly around as he wishes. Lately he needs to be picked up by hand to get him to come out, very unusual for him because he usually likes to be out and about and sitting on our shoulders. The thing is, once he's on your hand he poos droppings once - (quite a large amount) and then he's back to normal. When he decides to return to his cage he choses to go back down to the...

Blood in Stool
Posted on 2007/12/16 by renaeMaggie has been having diarrhea for a few days. She is still drinking, wanting to eat and go for her walks. She is still active. However, today, Dec 16, 2007, when she had her 2 bowel movement of the day, there was blood in it. Should I be concerned, this has not happened before.
