We had our 2yr old great dane to the vet this summer for a routine check up. I told the vet I was concerned with her wt, she had been throwing up occasionally Her ribs were very dominant and she looked skinny. Now she is even skinnier and her spine is showing. She is still throwing up about 3-4times a week give or take. She eats like normal and she is not throwing up at any certain time like right when she gets done eating. Please help I feel like a horrible MOMMY!

Is my dog sick?
Posted on 2007/12/17 by CherylMy dog has had excessive thirst which has caused her to have to go to the bathroom during the night and she has had some panting without exercise. Other than this she still shows no other symptoms. No personality changes still has energy and loves her walks. Is she OK?

Strong unpleasant smell
Posted on 2007/12/19 by donnaSmartie sometimes coughs but this is not problematic, she has had a swelling to her left side towards her back leg and slightly to the underside of her body. This does not appear to cause her pain even when touched. Apetite most often higher than usual but exercise and toiletting no problems. She does not clean herself as regularly and emitts a permanent strong unpleasant smell alikened to a human with bad breath but the smell emits from the whole of her body not her mouth. Do you have any suggestions re action to take or is there any likely medical problem?

How to stop herding
Posted on 2007/12/27 by julieSadie is a Shelti, meaning that she heards naturally, but it drives us crazy! Nothing we try will get her to stop. We've tried spraying our feet with a thing called bitter apple, we've tried shutting her in her kennel when she does it but she just won't stop. she'll heard bugs and toys too. Is there a way to make a sheep dog by nature stop hearding?

Hoover whines for everything he wants and when he gets excited, which is about almost everything. I have tried treat training, water spray bottle, citronella spray. The whining is making our relationship stressful for both of us. Any suggestions? Thank you, Susie

His Breathing was very slow i called my son down and he opened yhe cage and picked him up, the hamster was very agitated and wrestled out of his hands onto the floor, we say he was dragging his right rear leg a bit.
