I have a 23 month old american bulldog. Yesterday she decided to eat part of her collar. She had thrown it up and it looked like she had thrown it all up. But she did not eat last night nor this morning. She is drinking and going to the bathroom. I called her vet this morning and they said to feed her rice and chicken broth tonight and if she did not eat it. then bring her in the morning. SHe will not eat anything and is acting very tired and not active. What should I do tonight?

my dog may have eaten a small finger nail size of men's stick deodorant, would this make her lazy 90% of day? she is usually quite active and weighs about 60lbs. she's been sleeping most of day. she has eaten some food and has had water, but doesn't seem interested in anything.

We have a 7 yr. old Siberian Husky that is sick. We have given her medications for tapeworm, heart worm and round worm. We have given her vitamins. She will not eat, and it appears that she is having trouble with bowel movements. This morning, she did not want to get up, and is very weak.

Is it time to go to the vet?
Posted on 2008/02/13 by UserHi, my cat seems to be working on a hairball. She has been retching a bit since Sunday and has not yet been able to cough it up. She seems to be breathing kind of rapidly, but just ate and went to the bathroom. Is it time to take her to the vet? Or should I give her more time to work this out on her own?
