Growth on the nose
Posted on 2008/02/01 by V.About two months ago, my dog had a tiny white spot on his all black nose. since then, the spot has grown to approx. 1/8 inch in diameter. It did not appear to be an injury, and it doesn't seem to hurt or bother him. At first it just looked like he lost the pigment on the spot, but over the last week or so it appears to be slightly elevated from the rest of his nose, and sometimes has a pinkish or reddish coloration. He has seen a vet twice since he has had it (for shots and boosters), but the vet is new because his old vet moved away, and he doesn't seem to be concerned. I am concerned because of how rapidly this thing grew, and now it seems to be changing. Should...

Pinkish watery diarrhea
Posted on 2008/02/04 by JenMy 16 year old cat vomitted yesterday then began having many diarrhea accidents. The fluid is watery and pink, with little clots of blood in them. I believe it's diarrhea but hard to tell it apart from urine because he's also producing small amounts of stool - that seem normal. I havn't made a trip to the vet yet because I know it's going to be expensive. We recently moved to South Eastern Wisconsin from California and shortly after lost my dog to ethanol glycol poisoning which I am still trying to recover from emotionally and financially. My cat has always been healthy and his appetite is normal. What do you think?

Dog in pain
Posted on 2008/02/05 by JenniferI have a jack russell terrier mix who plays in a large enclosure with a much larger german shorthair. I think that they must have played a little rough yesterday because my little guy is lethargic, won't eat, and nips at anyone who tries to touch him. Is there anything I can give him to help him with pain?

my cat is sick
Posted on 2008/02/08 by Usermy cat has a fever and ears are hot and drive him crazy. I think there is swelling behind the ears. I started him on a broad band antibiotic. I think it helped his fever but his ears still hurt.

My dog ripped up toilet paper and he must have eaten some. He has had diarrhea all day. He has all his shots and is in my suppervision almost always. He has not gone anywhere new. He was acting normal, playing, eating drinking, just has had horrible diarrhea! His rectum is now bleeding from pooping so much. I did not take him to the vet because he acted fine, so I thought it would pass. Money is a bit of a issue, but not if he needs it.
