Change of Behavior in 10 year old dog
Posted on 2009/03/06 by UserMy 10 year old English Springer Spaniel has been acting strange lately. He will walk off into antoher room and sit in the dark, not laying down, and not come when called, or react to us eating, he usually sits with us at the table and waits for scraps., Lately however he will all of a sudden disappear into another room all alone, he seems spooked, he'll hide behind a chair, things he's never done before. Does he feel a presence? see something we dont? feel somethings wrong? or is he sick?

We have had our cat 2 years since he was a kitten, shots, then fixed. The last 6 months or so he started to hiss at us when one of us is about to play with him. Has bitten and scratched, minutes later wants affection? Two adults and two children 13 and 8. Concerned that my 8 year old who is high functioning autistic might be frightened or attacked too. Please advise!
