Cat not eaten 4 days
Posted on 2008/03/29 by SuzetteHe is 8 years old. He hasn't eaten since Tuesday (4 days ago). He threw everything up and is now dry heaving. He drinks very little water, only to throw that up too. I tried to give him pet grass--threw it up. I forced some caster out with a dropper last evening to see if he had a hair ball blockage. That stayed down. But nothing passed. What could be the problem? I have been giving him water with the dropper too.

Excessive licking
Posted on 2008/03/29 by SuzieI have a 1.5 year old Maltese named Tiger. He constantly licks and licks the air (looks as if he just ate peanut butter, but he didn't) and sometimes his paws or us. Is this OK? I don't want to take my dog to the vet for "licking air" but it's so excessive I am starting to worry. Another worry is that he has a "goose honk" cough. It always happens after he drinks water but I was told that it is normal. But now he does it when he's not drinking water. It only happens like once a day, but I don't know how many times a day it should happen before I should start to worry. Since he is a Maltese, he used to have tear stains from his eyes, they...

Ear Infection
Posted on 2008/03/06 by UserI believe my dog has an ear infection. If so, is it possible that the inflammation would come and go? She has been shaking her head quite a bit but the reddness and swelling come and go-it's not constant. I asked a few weeks ago about it possibly being yeast and I've also had her see two different vets. They both think she has allergies. I have done tons of research and possibly agree but neither vet said a thing about her ears. They both just said they looked very clean. They do because I've been keeping them that way due to the fact that I thought it was yeast. I'm now almost positive it's an infection. There never has been any excessive wax of any kind. I did however...

New kitten
Posted on 2008/03/19 by UserMy family just started taking care of an orpheaned baby kitten. We feed her when she crys and she seems to be gaining the weight needed to gain by internet standards. We excrete her poo and keep her warm all the time (She's about 2-3 weeks old) I wonder when my family should take her to the vet. It seems to me like she coughs too often... and i'm worried that this could be something serious. What symptoms should we look for to make sure that she's not getting seriously sick.

Sarcoptic Mange
Posted on 2008/03/19 by LeeDear Sir/Madam, I have two dogs, one is a puppy I just got from a rescue home. At the time we did not realise the puppy had sarcoptic mange; the puppy has been getting the dips for his mange for the past six weeks. Glen (my older dog who is 14) has now got the Sarcoptic Mange, despite boiling all bedding, giving Glen weekly washed in sulphur or Neem shampoos and putting Lyclear onitment on him and giving him arensic alb. liquid (which was recommended as a homeopathic remedy). Glen gets is very uneasy about travelling and doesn't like to be away from us for any length of time. We genuinely thought that if Glen was to get the same treatment that the puppy got that he...
