my dog is all of a sudden acting very lethargic and won't eat. She is staying at my grandmothers house and we've been out of town, but I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I have a 1.5 year old Maltese named Tiger. He constantly licks and licks the air (looks as if he just ate peanut butter, but he didn't) and sometimes his paws or us. Is this OK? I don't want to take my dog to the vet for "licking air" but it's so excessive I am starting to worry. Another worry is that he has a "goose honk" cough. It always happens after he drinks water but I was told that it is normal. But now he does it when he's not drinking water. It only happens like once a day, but I don't know how many times a day it should happen before I should start to worry. Since he is a Maltese, he used to have tear stains from his eyes, they stopped ...
He is 8 years old. He hasn't eaten since Tuesday (4 days ago). He threw everything up and is now dry heaving. He drinks very little water, only to throw that up too. I tried to give him pet grass--threw it up. I forced some caster out with a dropper last evening to see if he had a hair ball blockage. That stayed down. But nothing passed. What could be the problem? I have been giving him water with the dropper too.
Is a baby asperin safe for temporary pain relief of a 75 lb. dog?
Dear Sir/Madam, I have two dogs, one is a puppy I just got from a rescue home. At the time we did not realise the puppy had sarcoptic mange; the puppy has been getting the dips for his mange for the past six weeks. Glen (my older dog who is 14) has now got the Sarcoptic Mange, despite boiling all bedding, giving Glen weekly washed in sulphur or Neem shampoos and putting Lyclear onitment on him and giving him arensic alb. liquid (which was recommended as a homeopathic remedy). Glen gets is very uneasy about travelling and doesn't like to be away from us for any length of time. We genuinely thought that if Glen was to get the same treatment that the puppy got that he wou ...
6 days ago my cat stopped eating and drinking. he's been throwing up frothy yellow green liquid, he's lethargic but still purrs when we pet him. he hasn't gone to the bathroom. we took him to the vet and they couldn't give us a definitive answer. they ran blood tests and he doesn't have feline luekemia or FIV, they gave us prednisone to give him for his appetite but its not working. i've been trying to feed him with a syringe but he just gags and i can't get much food or water in him.his eyes are clear but they are usually closed, and he is not meowing in pain. the vet said it could be cancer but we don't know why he won't eat or drink, please help, i love my cat, he was ...

Is there anything I can put on post-op bandages to stop my dog from licking and chewing off the bandages? We are using the elizabethan collar but his legs are so long he can still get the bandaid. any suggestions?
My family just started taking care of an orpheaned baby kitten. We feed her when she crys and she seems to be gaining the weight needed to gain by internet standards. We excrete her poo and keep her warm all the time (She's about 2-3 weeks old) I wonder when my family should take her to the vet. It seems to me like she coughs too often... and i'm worried that this could be something serious. What symptoms should we look for to make sure that she's not getting seriously sick.

Our 14 year old female cat, who has been completely healthy to this point, began having increased water intake a few months ago. Last week she became very lethargic (even her meow and hiss were lacking normal energy), very needy (always wanting to cuddle, which is not typical for her personality), and had a very decreased appetite (she was eating, but only about 1/4 of what she would normally eat). A visit to the vet resulted in blood tests, urinalysis, and xray. We don't have specifics but can get them if needed. Vet said he would be looking at these possibilities: kidney disease/function problems, diabetes, and cancer, based on her symptoms. Well, she had a "slight ...
