I rescued a stray cat
Posted on 2009/06/01 by UserI rescued a stray cat/kitten yesterday. I would say she is about 7 or 8 months old and weighs no more than 10lbs. She's obviously underfed and dehydrated, so I have been feeding her soft food and syringe feeding her water to get it down her. She has had diarrhea the past few times she's used the litter tray, no blood in the stool just liquid and very light in colour. Is this bad, or could it just be in relation to the stress of an environment and food change? Also, I have noticed a creamy yellowish-white discharge coming from her vagina and have no idea what this could be from. Could it be serious? Do I need to take her to a vet right away or is there something I...

Kittens with dry patches and hair loss

overfed him and he won't eat
Posted on 2009/06/03 by UserI overfed my min pin and he threw up food , since that he is not eating, he is voiding BM and Urine normally, and his energy level is fine. We are making sure he drinks but we cannot get him to eat. no fever... how long after I overfed him can I expect him to eat? he is throwing up some (very little) stomach acid foam.

Posted on 2009/06/03 by UserI found a kitten under my bushes it appears to be approx.3 weeks old. The mother is a feral cat that looks to be starving and doesn't seem to have enough milk. I have been feeding the kitten from a doll bottle until I could get a nurser for it ,but I am not sure how much I should feed it or how often ? Also its eyes are matted and seeping I bought some eye cleanse , but is there something else I should be doing ?

Posted on 2009/06/04 by UserI just rescued a sweet male silkey/westminster mix from a shelter. He was very smelly and matted. The bath did a small wonder. But his behavior is telling me he is old or really sick. I don't have 90.00 to get him to a vet or the other 100.oo to do tests. I know he has worms, I have seen that in his stool. He also has that greenish glow out of both eyes however very small.(which tells me he is older and are probably cataracts), his skin under his hair is black, he has "bubbles" in a few places, his upper neck and on his back hip are the largest. Puppy very Sick
Posted on 2009/06/04 by UserI have a four month old Black lab she is really sick and wont eat anything she is drinking water occasionally but i have tried every type of food i can get she wont eat. She has Diarrhea and is throwing up every once in awhile. I took her to the vet and they didnt do much they tested for parvo and it was neg. They said she might have chewed on something and it got stuck in her intestions but they dont know for sure and arent helping me at all. I dont know what i should do should i force feed her or just leave her alone. Im all out of options at this point and im worried she may die. Thank you-
