My cat had a litter of kittens two weeks ago and one of them still has the umbilical cord attached which appears red and a little swollen. Is there anything I can do at home to take care of it or do I have to take them all in to the vet?

My dogs keep fighting
Posted on 2009/03/19 by CMy 2year old female German Shepherd (Dakota)keeps starting fights with my 12mo old male Siberian Husky (Maxwell). I recently became unemployed so I have been home with them all day, prior Max was crated during the day while Dakota was able to have free reign of the kitchen. They occasionally have fought in the past but the fights are occurring more often and have escalated in severity. It appears that I may be a factor in the escalation or triggering the fights. For example, both dogs were in the living room together without issue. I could hear that Max was chewing on something so I walked into the room to investigate.
