I received an answer to my last question and I know you people can do better. I have a 4 year old female cat who has been fighting a uti for over 2 months. She was doxycycline and it did not work. She never liked wet food since day one. She is now eating Purina UR ST/OX dry food. I also had her on Merrick no grain food. I have pressed on her bladder, kidneys and stomach and no pain. She uses the litter box and strains but sometimes very little comes out, sometimes nothing and sometimes she will have a fairly good urination. I have tried some of the herbal remedies and they work for a short time and stop. She is not crying and has never lost her appetite. Her eyes are...

Constant vomiting
Posted on 2008/09/16 by UserMy dog was vomiting yellow bile all night. In the morning he had a normal bowel movement. I thought he maybe had an upset stomach so I was going to not feed him for 24 hours and then chicken and rice. In late afternoon he started vomiting the yellow bile again and will not drink water. He seems very low on energy and not acting normal. My question is do you think he would be fine until tomorrow morning to go to the vet or should I try and take him to a vet hospital tonight?

Slow Recovery after Neuter
Posted on 2007/11/13 by UserI am fostering a 7 month old Maltese puppy who just got neutered last Friday (4 days ago). He seems to be in great discomfort - he will scream and scoot his bottom on the ground, or scream and suddenly turn around and lick himself. This happens randomly and frequently. The incision looks clean. When he stands, he keeps his back hunched. Yesterday I started giving him buffered dog aspiring (1/4 tablet every 12 hours), but I don't see much improvement. Should I be worried? I called the vet who neutered him yesterday, and he didn't seem too concerned. It is hard for me to see him in such pain.

My puppy is 5 months now, and she's been dewormed 3 times already. Recently I've seen wriggly worm-looking things stuck on her hair around her anal area; they're white and look segmented. Around her bedding I see little rice-grain looking things, they're hard and are kind of yellow. I'm guessing they are the segments that have dried up and died. I'm wondering if there is an inexpensive way rather than taking her to the vet to get rid of her worms? but if taking her to the vet is the best bet, than I am willing to take her. Is there an otc medication that will work effectively?
