west highland terrier
Posted on 2008/12/20 by Usermy dog keeps panting heavily and coughing and sneezing. Sometimes she seems to be out of breath. She is a six year old westie. At times she seems fine and stills runs about and enjoys her walk in the park and other times she just sits down abit whilstout walsing.

eye ulcer(keritosis?)
Posted on 2008/12/20 by joniMy 3 yr ld male Maine coon was dx w/ulcer in left eye1 1/2 yr ago. Dr prescribed prednisilone 1% 2x dly for 2 wks-then 1x dly until eye looked 100%. It went away but keeps coming back. Now money till mid Jan and I'm afraid to use the pred in his eye all the time. I have heard it can cause"melting" of the cornea in humans. Is this a common eye problem for this breed of cat and can I safely use the pred without vet visit first? The vet actually mailed the second bottle to me 1 mo ago. Should I use it? Thanks so much,im waiting for his vet records to be sent to see if doctor has more detailed dx in her notes. thanks again Joni and Doodles
