Sam has been taking 2 50mg tramadol tablets daily, but i've only got enough for tonight and tommorrow morning. I can't get anymore until next week. Would it be safe to give him tramacet (tramadol & parcetamol) in the meantime with his liver disease? Thanks in advance. Jo

Ear Problem
Posted on 2008/10/09 by WayneI have a Miniature Schnauzer with an ear problem. She has been scratching it and shaking her head. In the past I have treated this with Panalog ointment. I believe a vet once told me I could use a ear wash of half vinegar and half water to clean it out. Is this true? Thank you Wayne

My dog seems ill
Posted on 2008/10/09 by cherylMy dog is walking very slow. Does not run at all and needs to rest often while walking. Tries to sit to rest but has a hard time even doing that. He can no longer bark. It is as though he has no strength to bark. Eats, drinks and relieves himself ok. I am worried.

I came home from work today and my dogs face was swollen around her mouth. She also has what looks like hives on her stomach. My husband gave her a Benadryl and it took some of the swelling down. She seems to be breathing fine and she did eat her dinner and drank some water. What could have caused something like this to happen?

Is Surgery Needed?
Posted on 2008/10/10 by MaryannMy dog is always taking unusual items and swallowing them. He has never been affected by them. Recently he began vomitting quite a bit. I took him to the vet where he had an xray. A round object the vet thinks is a coin was shown in his stomach. He is acting himself now and is eating. A follow up xray showed that the object is still there although moved slightly. Surgery was suggested. It will cost $1500 which I cannot afford. What are my options.
