My dog has been treated at home and by a vet for ear mites. Nothing works. One ear has lost almost all hair because he constantly is scratching it and 4 days ago he is losing hair around his eyes. Had little oozing welts so I put antibacterial lotion and they dried up but still dry and scaly looking...if it is a parasite, can I get it and lose my hair? How did my inside dog get a parasite?

Posted on 2008/10/01 by LauraMy kitten has small bugs running all over him. The first one crawled out of his eye. The rest are under the fur. He hasnt been outside or in contact with any other animals other this him mum which he left 3 months ago. We have tried washing him but the bugs still remain. They dont jump or bite us and are too big to be fleas. They are the size of the mother human headlice. Most are brown with long shiny bodies. Some have a bigger bum and are more of a yellow colour. My kitten is getting very lathargic and his gums are turning pale. Can you help me?

Symtoms that keep coming and going all of the sudden
Posted on 2008/10/01 by Usermy dog has had some spells recently. it's happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. took him to the vet monday after the 2 time it happened and he thought it was intestinal inflammation. Well he's still on the medicine he gave him and he's doing the same thing again tonight. He's been fine all day and all of the sudden he just sits swaying and kind of acts likes he's drunk. He is also shaking more than normal. PLEASE HELP!!

shaking and appetite loss
Posted on 2008/10/02 by UserMy Lhasa has not eaten today and does not want to eat. She is drinking plenty of water, more than usual. Now she is shaking. I assume that she has eaten something bad, as she has done once before. But the shaking is new and concerns me. Is it ok to give her the night and see how she does tomorrow?

Vomiting and Diorrhea
Posted on 2008/10/02 by UserMy dog is 1 and 3 months for the last 4 days he has been suffering really bad with his toilet. It happens everynight so far at the same time he vomits (just bile) and then it seems he cannot control his toilet and just goes a poo but can't seem to hold himself until the garden door is open or i take him out. His poo is very runny and has not become solidified within the last 4 days at all. His food is normal which he eats everyday. He has not had anything that he shouldn't have. Cna you please let me know what you think is wrong just in case i need to take him to my vets.

Older cat can't hold her hand up
Posted on 2008/10/02 by UserMy 17 yr. old cat is 5lbs. She has been taking Resthyo for hpyerthiriodism for about 3 weeeks, her coat is better she is putting on weight and not whinning as much. My new problem is we used Sergeants Natures Guardian two days ago(the squeeze on the neck stuff)Now she seems to be having troble holding up her head. She walks a little wobbly I dont know if this is because she cant look up This Sergeants Brand is natural containing clove oil.Could the clove oil be numbing neck. needless to say I washed it off (about 24 hours ago. ) I just got home form workand she seems the same. about a week ago my rottweiller's eye looked like she could have hit it on something. it looked like her lower eye lid was raising and it was a little red but it didnt seem to affect her vision or bother her much - only a little pawing at it and now it almost unnoticible except for a little bit of a hang on the top - it dosent bother her or us and she hates other people - so should i do something?
