Melanoma tumor on tongue
Posted on 2007/11/26 by jeffreyMy dog went to vet for annual checkup & vaccanations, as DR was checking inside his mouth he found a growth on his tongue and said it was a Melanoma. The Doctor said it needs to be removed (the next day) as well as a large portion of the tongue around the melanoma. His blood tests came back clear and he was otherwise healthy from the checkup. There were no unusual signs that the growth was yet malignant. Why would he not want to perform a biopsy before removing the growth and such a large amount of my dog's tongue without knowing if this was malignant?

My boyfriends mother's cat got in freezer yesterday about noon and she found it in there about 2 hours ago (in freezer about 22 hours), it is still meowing but not moving other than it's front left leg is twitching. Is there anything we can do for it? Or should we have it put to sleep? Dorene doreenwhite@netins.net
