Hi can u help? My cat is getting on for 17 & up until last couple wks or so has been in really good health! Recently though her breathing seems to of become really laboured to the point were sometimes she opens her mouth when she breaths in! She is also quite bony now but i have put that down to her age although she still has quite a greedy appitite! I know shes old but is there anything i can give her to help with the breathing! Many thanx.

My roommates dog has been vomiting for 24 hours he is not eating but does drink water. He has also had diarrhea for this period as well. He is lying quietly and will walk outside when I take him. He is a chiuaua so i am concerned about dehydration and if I should bring him into the vet

decrease in appetite
Posted on 2008/08/24 by grecoOver the last week daisy's appetite seems to have change from always eating her food in 5 minutes to a nibbler. She does eat all her food after 2-3 visits to her bowl. Every thing else seems to be the same. Is this just her growing out of the puppy stage?

Posted on 2008/08/26 by Ronhi there my dog caramel has seen his vet and they gave him amoxil for high fever he has been on it for 2 days full. now i have noticed he sleeps with his head up like he has a sore neck but he does move it slowly i told the vet but he says he is fine . i have enclosed a picture that i have took for you can see

Posted on 2008/08/28 by KiraSomething coming out of vaginal area looks like sac of some kind,mare had a baby prior w/issues(retained placenta,baby had to be turned,infection,vagina protrudes further than anus,saved then and everything turned out OK was never to get pregnant again but they kept her with a stud before we could move her here so don't know if she was bred or not), NOW bubble appeared,popped then added to sac,mare acting like colic, have given bute,promace and zylaxine to keep from shock, please help me, we are a rescue that is underfunded...but in meantime this happened, please help me before a vet can get here,need to know what I can do to help her if there is anything I can do to...

Posted on 2008/08/29 by EmilyMy cat is taking methamazol for her thyroid. She also has liver disease. I know methamazol can cause liver damage. Is there another kind of thyroid medication that won't cause liver damage?

Weird behavior
Posted on 2008/09/02 by RafiMy pug tends to do a weird bitting...almost chatter like thing with his mouth. I tend to see him doing this only when he's been smelling something (like the bed, couch, etc.) for a awhile. He'll then start to do that weird chattery thing until he starts to force excess liquid/saliva (i think it's saliva...) onto the object he is smelling. The smell almost smells like urine. What is he doing, and is this a sign of an infection??

Scratching and lossing hair
Posted on 2008/09/10 by SarahMy 5 month old kitten as a microchip implanted between her shoulders. I noticed today she's been scratching a licking at that same spot and now the hair right there is gone. Could her microchip be bothering her? And if so, what should I do?!
