about a year after i got my cat i notice a small brown spot in her left eye. over the years it has spread its now almost 90% covered her eye.it is only on the color part of her eye not the black part. it doesnt seem to bother her but it bothers me...i've asked vets in my area and they dont seem to know what it is without running a lot of expensive tests that i cant afford right now. i was wondering if this is something i need to worry about or is this something that happens naturally to cats. im just worried that it might be something harmful to her. do you happen to know what this is and what might cause this? thank you...i attached this picture you can kind of see the...

Brown Stain
Posted on 2008/02/19 by JudyMy dog has recenly adopted a brown stain and we believe it's from her saliva... she has stain all around her mouth, nose, eyes and on her feet from licking her feet. It is also on her bed. I have given her an antihistimine but nothing has helped. Can you offer any advice. My vet tells me it's probably an allergy and there is nothing that we can do unless we want to go thru the long process of elimination. She also seems to gag occasionally and will spit up a yellow substance.

cats illness
Posted on 2008/02/20 by UserMy 4year old male cat has been sick now for 2 days and seems to be getting worse. Our local vets are not in until tomorrow. He vomited on Sunday once and once on Monday, he is very lethargic today, won't eat but will drink and wants to lay in my arms and lets me rub his belly which is abnormal for him, he is usually very very active and playful. He does go outside daily and has been now for about 2-3 months. Plese help

Single over-groomed spot has become raw needs medication
Posted on 2008/02/21 by UserMy cat has been over grooming one spot near his anus. He has done this once before in his life. I rescued him when he was 3 weeks old and had to teach him grooming and I wonder if this has something to do with it even though he is now 10. I want to just treat the sore til the habit stops on its own like last time but I don't want anything that will make him ill if he licks it off, and I'd like to avoid the cone collar. And I'm stuck at home right now so I'm really hoping to use something from my own medicine cabinet. Any suggestions?

liver enzymes
Posted on 2008/02/22 by TeresaWilson had some sort of seizure the other day where he was unable to breathe and became very lethargic. We took him immediately to our vet. By the time we got there he was doing a bit better. He has some sort of a tracheobronchitis. As a beagle he is always out sniffing on the run-no matter how cold its been. He had taken some blood tests and all came back well but he said the liver enzymes were elevated-not high-but more than what is normal. What could that mean exactly??
