My 6 year old Boston Terrier became incontinent about three weeks ago. While trying to treat her for loss of bladder control she lost the use of her back legs. They xrayed her and could not find anything. We took her to Auburn University teaching clinic only to find out she has a lesion on her spine. At this point they are not sure if it is cancerous or not. They say it may be just and infection. We started treating her with antibiotics today. If she has not improved in 5 days they are saying that is a clear sign it is probably cancer. She is in a lot of pain. What is your advice, do you think this is cancer?

Chewing on Tail
Posted on 2008/02/17 by UserMy Great Dane is chewing on the end of her tail to the point that it is bleeding everywhere. Could she have hurt it and is chewing on it because she wants it off? Not sure what to do about it

Patchy hair loss
Posted on 2008/02/17 by SuzanneI recently adopted a young cocker girl who is experiencing some skin issues. Her thyroid tests were within the normal range, and the skin is not reddened and does not seem to be itchy, but her back has some moderate scaling and the hair is rather thin there, with a few areas of patchy hair loss. Do you have any suggestions as to what might be going on here, and what I might do to help correct it? Thanks in advance. I am attaching a photo.
