My dog tore a dime sized piece off the pad on his right front paw. Will this heal over time without vet treatment? What is the best thing I can for him to speed up healing? Thank you.

Posted on 2009/01/21 by UserHi My 12 year old femail border collie has a swollon anus. She is not passing blood but does have trouble doing No2`s. This has been goin on for about 10 days. No chainge in diet and no other symtens. No rubbing of her anus on the carpet either. SHe is eatign/drinking as normal but sleeping more than normaly. She is regualy walked and still enjoys it. She is wormed regualy last one being 2 months ago. Recent medication is a eye drop for a small infetion due to dry eye. This has now cleared. She is of a healthy weight. Can you help as I live a long way from the nearest town. Thankyou. Lee

My 5 month old boxer has had diahhorea for 72 hours. He is able to hold it and only goes 2-3 times a day but when on walks and tries to go to the toilet it is like brown or yellow water. We tried fasting him for 24 hours and also feeding brown rice upon earlier recommendations but this hasnt had any effect. He is fine in himself and drinking water. Is there anthing we can give him or does he need to see a vet? Thanks for your help.

itching to go
Posted on 2009/01/22 by Userhi, i have a chocolate lab, about 7 months old. he had fleas as a small puppy, we're in a high flea area. Now he is on fronline and has no fleas. The thing is he scratches incessantly. He's losing hair and scratching raw. We thought it was just habit, but we're not sure. He is restless and drinks a LOT of water.. like half a gallon at a time, several times during the day. He's mostly an inside dog. What could the matter be?

Posted on 2009/01/22 by Userwhen would be the right time to put down my dog? she is 15 yr old lab, half blind and partialy deaf. dysplasia in her hips she at times can get up to go do her buisness out side on her own. at times she falls. she wonders around, she is so used to the same ol route so there she goes. then at times she wonders to fare then you have to go get her and when she comes back in its like she forgets and need to go back out. she walks the house day and night. of course i give meds. for her joints and pain. she follows me every where even if i don't think she can see me. then at times when she does get down she stays there and wets on her self. she has her own bed that she...
