can cats get ulcers? our cat keeps vomiting and is losing weight because he doesn't want to eat. when he vomits its yellow and i wonder if his digestion system is off a bit or he has a gastrointestional problem. we are still giving him 200 cc of ringers solution per our vet's approval. also, we are feeding him through a syringe soft baby fod of turkey. he seems to have good days and bad days. he is alert and wants to move around, but not everyday he does this. please help us. dave and julie of new york

I have an 11 year old springer/brittany spaniel mix and lately she cant hold her poop or pee. Is there anything I can do? I dont know if shes just getting old or could there be something wrong?

Retained Testicles

He has been operated on both in the abdomen and in the groin area when he was 6 months old but the vet was unable to find either testicle. For the past few months he has been spraying indoors and we are at our wits end what to do with him! He has also had the hormone tests to determine whether or not he is producing testosterone, these tests only confirmed what we already knew! I feel that my vet is not interested in trying to help ... I don’t think the sprays etc will help as he never seems to do it in the same place twice. We have tried spraying him with water ... shouting and throwing him outside when...

Blood in urine, female dachshund, 17...
Posted on 2009/02/17 by UserMy 17 month old female dachshund seems to have blood in her urine occasionally. She does not seem to be drinking a lot more, maybe a little more, in her-self she is fine and happy, playing as normal etc. Her appetite has maybe reduced but over approx a 2 month period. The blood has been present as watery and is not always present, maybe weekly. She is due a season but shows no other signs of this e.g. enlarged vulva? Or discharge. As this goes on, I am beginning to think and worry that it is not a partial season, but an infection or something. Thank you very much. I will be online again in 24 hours. Samantha

how often does Sibs come in heat? Aiyana was in heat the end of nov. and she is in heat now, this is the second time she has ever been in heat? Also when is a good age to breed her, I have been told two different ages. I don't want to do it too soon. She is my baby and I don't want to do any thing that will harm her.

Blood in the Urine
Posted on 2009/02/19 by kimI have a cat wgo has blood in her urine for several months now. My vet has done an ultrasound to check for crystals. nothing. Also took a urine sample, by needle directly to the bladder. She has three rounds of antibiotics, one of baytril, two of zeniquin (Had to stop one, half way thru) because she started vomiting, i think a mix of flagyl and zenniquin together. Flagyl for giardia. My questionis the vet has really not told me anything except. she has no bacteria, in the urine. She is still peeing blood, though much less. what would you reccommend my next step to be.

PUPPY WITH PNEMONIA?!
Posted on 2009/02/21 by UserI have a 9 week old pupy. I got him at 8 weeks and he had just got his booster 3 days prior. I had him for about 3 days and noticed he coughed a lot. People told me he would be okay, but I wanted to bring him to the vet anyways. I made an appointment with the vet a couple days later for the next day but the day I made the appt. the puppy started throwing up, so I changed it to that day. I brought him in and the vet listened to his heart and lungs (after taking his temp which was a little high) - she told me he has a pneumonia(sp?) - she gave him antibiotics that i give him twice a day and made a follow up appt. for 3 days later. I brought him today and his fever is gone...
