Dogs back leg is very swollen, entire leg is blood red and she is limping
Posted on 2008/12/24 by UserSo its Christmas Eve and all vets are closed so I need help w/out utilizing an actual vet until Friday. My chihuahua who is an indoor dog was limping yesterday when I came home. As the night progressed it became increasingly swollen. She went from limping to not walking on it at all. I moved it all directions and she doesnt yelp or bark or seem in much pain, more upset and annoyed b/c she cant use her leg. The swelling is very hard to the touch. Today the whole leg is now a very dark red and is spreading to her stomach. Doesnt look like a rash though, just blood red. What do you think this is and what should we do? It is possible she jumped down from stairs or...

Full Body Shakes?

We try...

Drooling and runny nose
Posted on 2008/12/29 by UserMy pomeranian suddenly started drooling about 3 days ago and his nose has been running lightly today. He has been eating and drinking, and is 10 months old. I've looked in his mouth several times and do not see anything. I don't know what to do. I thought that he was teething but the more I read it says that he should be done with that. Could a dog get a cold? My mother has had a cold for about 8 days and Sam (the dog) loves to give kisses. My regular vet is on vacation and won't be back until the beginning of the year. We live in a small, small rural town and have been using the vet we have for 13 years and I don't want to change unless it is an emergency. ...

Hello my question is why do some dogs like to eat their own/others dog shit. And also cat shit? Does this mean they are lacking something in their diet or are they just a little off the wall? Have 3 poodles that do this and it absolutely drives me crazy! Thanx!!
