Liver cancer in my Golden retriever
Posted on 2009/01/04 by UserMy dog was just diagnosed with liver cancer. Golden Retriever age 12. His liver enzymes # was 2,000. I can't bear to see him in pain. It came over him so fast. He has no appetite. Has lost 10 lbs. Does not socialize. How do I know how near "the end." he is at? What do I look for to see how much pain he is in? When do i "put him down."

i used advantage flea control for a cat that is over 9 lbs. on my cat that is 8 lbs. could this be an issue?

Puppy has a lump!!
Posted on 2009/01/02 by UserMy 4 month old puppy has a lump on the side of her muzzle where her whiskers grow. She also has a lesion inside of her lip. There is no pus or draining, just a small lesion and her muzzle is swollen. Should I be worried?

13 yr old Pekingese
Posted on 2008/12/20 by DougOur 13yr old Pekingese is walking backwards and breathing very heavy. She was at the vet 3 weeks ago and we were told she has ear infection and possibly slight stroke. She was given a shot and drops for her ears. She has gained approx 8 pounds since then and tonight after I picked her up on the couch she started yiping and jumped down and was walking backwards till she was up against the couch and wall and then pooped it was not packed like she is constipated

Puppy sick
Posted on 2008/12/20 by Usermy puppy doesn't feel well today. He just vomitted, contents were clear viscous liquid with some sort of weeds or vegetation. It snowed today and he ate a bunch of snow. He's not eating, I got to get him to drink his water. I can tell he's having a tough time.

Posted on 2008/12/31 by Userhi Dr. Brian its Luis , i have an american pitbull terrier , 6 yrs. old and 60 lbs. , he has been diagnosed (DCM) dilated cardiomyopathy (about a year now) and 1 kidney not functioning properly so my vet changed his kibble to hill's h/d plus ace inhibitors (he has almost no symptoms now) , but his skin started to dry and became dull and i was very concerned about the pet food recalls so i have changed the kibbles to a low-sodium home made diet (with my vet). Now i feed him 3 cups brown rice , 100 gms. chicken breast (cooked) and 200 gms. of boiled carrots , a pinch of salt and 1 table spoon of corn oil , plus a multivitamin (pet-tabs) , 8 ml. fresh salmon oil and 1000...

Posted on 2009/01/02 by NatalieSmokey now almost a year in a couple of weeks has not been eating normal in the last two to three weeks. I feed him cesars wet food and Eunkunba dry food mixed...Before he was eating it and now he is not and when he does its not as much as he should. I took him to the vet this past monday and they didnt find nothing wrong with him. He told me to stop giving him sooo many treats as I was and to not leave his food out for more than thirty minutes. I followed the vets orders and smokey is still not eating right...he will eat a little to I guess continue the day and not feel hungry. he is drinking water but seems weak and sleepy, and not himself. He is usually full of energy...
