Ash Tray Licking
Posted on 2008/02/03 by DanaMy mother smokes and when she visits, she smokes on the enclosed porch. Sometimes she forgets to rinse the ash tray and my cat runs out there when we open the door to lick the ash tray. Why does my cat insist on licking ash trays?

New Puppy needs help!
Posted on 2008/02/04 by KristenHello, I just adopted a new puppy who has acquired hook worm. I brought him to the vet who put him on a 3 day deworming medication along with anti biotics and 7 days worth of prescription wet food. He finished the 3 day dewormer and today is his last application of the anti biotic. I'm still nervous about him because his stools haven't firmed up at all. I set another appointment for him today to go back to the vet for a follow up. I plan on feeding him some yogurt for the natural cultures and some canned pumpkin for the fiber for the rest of the week. Does anyone have any other suggestions that may help diet-wise? I am hoping for another three day dewormer or...

I chose to put my dog to sleep last night during surgery. The doctor said his spleen had a growth that may be cancer and needed to be removed because he was bleeding internally. During surgery they called me to tell me it was not his spleen it was his liver and had cancer and said he was bleeding into the stomach. My question is he was 14 yrs. old and he was always happy, outgoing, loved to eat had lots of energy however 3 days before he died he started to not eat and go down, If he had so much cancer why did he never show it, I honestly thought he would of lived a long time.

Louie keeps shaking and rubbing his ears on the floor. I was cleaning his ears with a ear cleaner but it didnt seem to help He had dark brown wax stuff in his ears. I started using Ear Mite meds. He is now shaking his head more, rubbing his ears, and they are hot to the touch and smell. Should I continue to use this or is this more serious?
