dwarf hamsters and seizures--or dreaming??
Posted on 2008/12/14 by UserMy hamster seems to be dreaming in her sleep-unaware of being picked up. makes squeaking sounds. Once she wakes, she seems fine. She was bleeding for a couple of wks but her medicine seems to have stopped that. She's still eating and drinking. I almost had her euthanized because the vet thot she might have uterine cancer. As long as she seems ok, I'd rather not do that but I hate the thot of her being in pain. It looks just like what my dog does when she's sleeping and "dreaming"

Bad breath.
Posted on 2008/12/12 by F.Is bad breath in cats normal? My turkish van seems normal, he's very active but he has this really bad breath. Also, if of any value, when he's tired he seems to give a big breath out (just one). Thanks in advance.

vaccination protocol
Posted on 2008/12/13 by UserI ecently moved to Tucson, Arizona. While I was living in Chicago, Illinois, my dog was receiving shots for leptospriosis, however, when I took him to my new vet in Tucson for his shots, the vet said he did not need the lepto portion of the vaccine since the disease was not a problem in this area. My concern is that I will be travelling with my dog to Texas and Minnesota and am worried that he will be at risk. Should I be concerned and have him receive the lepto vaccine ? Mary

Possible Kidney Failure
Posted on 2008/12/14 by UserMy7 year old Cocker Spaniel test show Kidney Failure. Her level go up and has been tested for other infection such as Cushing Disease, Addsion Disease, a bacterial infection which all came back okay. The other option is if her levels are still up next month our vet is going to do an ultrasound for possibe tumor. Can it be possible that other reasons could cause the blood levels to change and not be kidney failure. He says if she has it she has probably 25% use of her kidney's and they can survive on that. Of course we are very worried and I try to research everything I can. She got sick about 3 weeks ago and we started all those other test but then he (vet ) said...
