My 6 month old puppy has a sore on her tail towards the end (not up close to her back.) It is a bump about the size of a dime, maybe a bit smaller. It started as a small bump and has gotten larger. It now appears to be cracked open. It doesn't smell bad. She is acting fine, eating well, etc.

Lesion on my cat's leg
Posted on 2009/01/12 by JulieMy cat has a lesion on her elbow/leg that she is licking raw. It is not bleeding or infected. She has had this before and we took her to the vet--the vet gave her a shot (he said he didn't "have to" but since she was there. . . )and I think he prescribed a cream --I can't remember--to stop the itch/licking. She is eating/drinking/using litterbox just fine and is acting totally fine--except for the licking and raw bite/sore/lesion. Can you give advice on what we can buy at the store for her that is not harmful and she won't lick off? We are on a tight budget and cannot afford to take her to a vet right now. Thanks, Julie

Feral Cats with fleas
Posted on 2009/01/13 by UserMy 3 feral cats must have fleas because they keep scratching thereselves and rubbing their bodies along my cement steps in the yard. Can I get them on my clothes and bring the fleas into the house? I hope not. I bought flea powder but just can't ge the opportunity to shake it on them. Any suggestions? Also it is going to get bitter cold the weekend and they are not going into the house we fixed for them. They did for awhile. I took everything out and washed it,sprayed the flea powder insde but for some reason they are not going into it any more. Any suggestions? polishkelly@verizon.net
