Hi I sent a 10wk old Bullarabx mastiff pup to its new owner. The pup was on a 6hr flight and when the buyer recieved the pup she claimed it had an absess on its chess and cost her $500 at her vets to fix the problem. I know for sure that there was no absess visible on the dog when I placed it on the plane. How quick can an absess appear? The pup had never travelled before and would have been afraid. Could this trigger it to appear?

can you please go back to televets to answer my question
Posted on 2008/12/01 by UserRegarding what to feed the chihuahua 2 to 3 pounds for dinner. You said its not enough to give them meat. I give them dry food in the morning so what else do i give them? They don't each much. I posted and you answered regarding them having not diarrhea but mucous and jellylike stools with blood. Yesterday I took them both over to my sons house he has a 84 pound american bulldog. The boy had a normal stool and then an hour later he had a quarter size stool dark brown not watery stool. Could it have been stress? It was not formed just flat. I just can't believe all of a sudden he has a problem. Should I just wait to see if the problem goes away a day or so. He...

Aural Hematoma, Would He Have Survived?
Posted on 2008/12/01 by LisaMy cat had an aural hematoma, and I brought him to my mother-in-law's so he wouldn't be bothered by my other pets and wouldn't contaminate them. When this all started the swelling was slight, and he didn't seem to have much discomfort. Howver, the lady that had him decided to try draining his ear herself, and when she did it, (without my knowledge), she used a dirty jackknife and his ear quickly became infected. I stopped by to check on him a few days later, and his whole face had swollen up and he had pus running down. His ear had just about rotted right off his head, and I was devastated by the change that he had taken. He could barely walk and was in such rough shape...

Cat is not eatting, loss of weight.
Posted on 2008/12/01 by UserFor several weeks now my cat is not eatting. We have already taken her to a vet, where they have ran several test and determined that all of her internal organs appear healthy and functioning normal. The Vets had given us some meds which were supposed to help increase her appetite. They do not appear to be working. We have started feeding her a mixture of food, water and a high calorie paste by syringe. The cat appears to be swallowing ok. She will on occasion lick the juices from cat food but won't eat. Small amount of feces and urine are observed everyday. Wondering if you have any suggestions on increasing her appetite. Could it also be a problem with her teeth? If so...
