My dog jumped off my deck and broke one of her toe nails off. It was bleeding and it still hasn't wholly healed from over a week ago now and will occassionally bleed. I have been cleaning it out with peroxide but it doesnt seem to help. What can I do?

Mystery lump
Posted on 2008/11/05 by EstebanMy dog is almost 3 yrs old and recently when brushing her we noticed a rather large lump under her skin under her front right armpit. it doesn't seem to bother her or slow her down at all. She is tired a little more but that could be due to the fact that she is getting older. there was no sign of a bug bit anywhere. And her appetite has not changed any. She doesn't however like it when you touch it. could this lump just be a dislocation of some kind or possibly a pulled muscle? Or should i be worried it could be something more problematic like cancer? She did however have really bad bloodshot eyes and it seemed like possibly a stuffed up nose slmost like it was hard to...

sudden onset of drooling
Posted on 2008/11/06 by Nanamy cat has started drooling from the mouth, so much so that it drips all over. Her nose feels normal, appetite is the same. She has been sleeping most of the day in her outside bed outside our patio door. This only started this week.

Swollen leg/foot
Posted on 2008/11/07 by User24 hours after creating a wobble for our 14 day old baby lovebird with splayed legs, we noticed that its leg was swollen. Is this going to cause damage to the bird? We do still need to fix the wobble and we do not know how to proceed. Thank You.

I have a 1.5-2 year old lab/pit bull mix that i recently rescued. She was found as a stray and was in shelters for about 6 months until I got her 2 months ago. She has an issue marking indoors, whether it's at work (I'm lucky to work in a pet friendly office) or at friend's houses. I try keeping her locked in my smaller office and this seems to help, but she will still 'go' if i let her out or if at a friend's house. What's the best way to stop this behavior? Thanks!!

Trying to throw up.....
Posted on 2008/11/11 by TrishaShe ate some grass last Wednesday, which isn't out of the ordinary for her. But ever since that day she has been trying to cough up something. The one thing that worries me is that it wasn't on our property, my husband took her over to a friends new house. could she have been poisoned? I checked her thoat I don't see anything lodged in there either. Did notice this weekend her breath stinks, so I check to see if she had a rotten tooth, all her teeth look great. She is allergic to a lot of things so i gave her a benadryl, thinking maybe she was having an allergic reaction to the grass. I don't know what else to do; but I don't want to take her to the vet unless I have to,...

Hello, I went to University of Penn veterinarian hospital 4yrs back and they said my dog had a problem with his patella. They wanted to cut into a bone in order to keep it from slipping out however for a while it was getting better. Recently it started getting worse. We went back and they now say it may be neurological condition because both his hind legs seem weak. They want to charge $1,500 for an MRI and $500 for anesthesia just to find out if there are any problems and then we'll have to have surgery. Does this seem like a suitable price? If you need more details on his condition let me know.
