Last night my 5 year old chihuahua was up the entire night scratching. She was scratching both side of her body. Her ears are warm now but it may be from the scratching. She is very obviously bothered by this. It worries me because she got absolutely no sleep. Any ideas on what could be going on? I'm worried it might be something more serious than just an itch.

Cat vomiting
Posted on 2008/10/15 by UserMy cat vomits several times a week. It is not a hairball, it just looks like food only. She does not seem to be in pain or wretching or anything, just vomiting.

lump on male cat's tail
Posted on 2008/10/15 by UserMy soon-to-be 12 y.o. male cat, Malcolm, (domestic shorthair) has a lump on the left side of his tail, a bit closer to his backside than the tip of his tail. When I "play around" by feeling/putting slight pressure on parts of his tail, he let out occasional meows---but he ALWAYS meows when I put pressure on the lump. What insight can you shed? I am concerned, esp. since he is getting up there in years.

Frantic Licking
Posted on 2008/10/22 by JanetDelilah frequently licks her genitals vigorously. She appears distressed, but that could be because it is such an awkward position. She does not cry while doing this. Is this an indication of a bladder infection or some other condition warranting a visit to the veterinarian? This has begun recently, and none of our other dogs do this. Janet Davis

Hi :) My son's hamster has had a lump under her left arm/shoulder. It has been slowly growing. She hasn't been acting any differently (eating, etc). Last night I looked on her abdomen and there are about 4 small lumps (looks like swollen lg pimples). Is there anything I can do for her? She's about 2 years old. Thanks in advance for any advice.

my siberian husky has bitten away a portion of his fur on his back down to the skin. It seems to itch him and sometimes bleeds. Could this be a hot spot, and if so what can I do? If not, what could it be?

What metals, if any, are poisonous to dogs? Thanks for your time and consideration. Meg
