Constant itch? High Protein Diest suggestions?

Rating: 8

My dog is overweight. The vet told us to put her on a high protein diet, which is only dry dog food. She is refusing to eat. Any other suggestions for a highportein diet?
She also sits on the floor and chases her back leg around and around in the floor. We keep frontline on her and she is a house dog but she acts like something is biting or itching. Any suggestions?

you could try a sensitive diet such as hills prescription z/d diets or royal canin sensitivity to try and help the skin and z/d reduces reactions to allergens. try covering the leg up with a tshirt to stop her biting it. you need a diet that has got a high level of good qaulity protein, if you get s diet with lots of protein but poor quality it will put strain on the liver and kidneys, buy a good brand of food such as hills, royal canin or pedigree.

    hope this helps.
