Im very sorry to hear of your loss, losing a pet is a terrible thing.
was bubba examined at a vets? if so ask them what caused his death, you only need to worry if it was something infectious, to be on the safe side wash all their bedding, bowls and toys. it is unlikely that your other pets are at risk, unless it was something infectious, but it is difficult to say as the symptoms could be many things.
once again, sorry for your loss and all the best with your other pets.

No He was not examined by a vet. He passed his colon and part of his intestines through his rectum.

it does not sound like it was infectious, but just clean everything with a mild disinfectant and wash all the pets bedding to be on the safe side.
