SPCA

we took our year old male chow to the SPCA to have him neutered and they said they could not do it cause they could only find one testicle they said the other one was in his abdomen what do we need to do?? I am on a fixed income and can not afford alot. Is there any type of assistance i can get to help

    Go to www.spayusa.org and look for a low cost spay/neuter clinic in your area.

    You can always to go your local veterinarian and see what they recommend.  They may be able to work with you on a payment plan for the surgery.

    Bottom line, the dog needs to be neutered because retained testicles can be dangerous to your dog's health.  Cancer can form because of the testicle being in a place where it should not be.
