Urine Incontinence

  • Peanut

My 15 year old Chichuachua is having a bad problem w/ incontinence. Most of his teeth have rotted and he goes around w/ his tail between his legs. I have resorted to feeding him soft foods. Do you think it is time to put him down?

Symptoms: dental, lethargy, pain, eyes, urine & incontinence

you know your pet best and you are the only one who can decide when the time is right, you need to assess his quality of life, is he enjoying life, there is no problem with him eating soft food and with no teeth. there are medications that can help with incontinence which are available from veterinary practices. it is a very hard decision to make but you will know when he has had enough. get a general health check up from your veterinary centre to assess the problems.
