I have an 8 month old schi tzu and the last 2 months he has had very bad gas. I'm not trying to be funny but it's been so bad it's made me gag. His diet hasn't changed at all, is this at all normal? Is there anything I can do other than buy more candles? I take him out thinking he needs to do his "business" but most of the time he doesn't.

Hello! There can be several reason why your puppy is passing gas from diet (types of Food) medical reasons or etc. I would suggest having your puppy examine by Vet to rule out any medical problems.
You can also try changing the food to another brand but first what are you feeding your puppy? Are you giving your puppy human food, soft food or Dry? How much a day? All of these questions are important to ask yourself and to offer the Vet as well...
Ps. Can you give me more details on what you are feeding your puppy?

I actually am feeding him the food the vet gave me actually. It's Purina. it's dry and I even tried changing his treats, pupperoni seemed to give him some gas so i changed to milkbones and that seemed to work for awhile but like i said in the last couple months it's gotten worse. Now He used to have puppy chow which is what he was eating at the home where I got him, but the vet reccomended this food, so I introduced it slowly mixed in with his old brand of food over about a 2 week period. Could this be it?

My apology for the late reply! I was out of twon for a few days. Hmm..., type of food can be the problem. Try this brand for a few weeks and let me know if there are any changes. The brand is Avoderm which is created waving fans. I heard dogs/k-9s have stop bitting, scracting theri skin and skin allergies has gone away....
I think the reason for such a great result might be the fact that Avoderm's formula has an abstract from Avocado. It could be their magic ingredient but try this food but gradually go into it. Half of the prior food mix with Avoderm Dry or wet. Then after a few days it will be just Avoderm only for a few weeks....
