Seizures and Demetia in a young dog

Our 3 yrs old German Sheppard has been having Grand Mal seizures for about a year now, lately they've become more frequent and are now accompanied by what appears to be disorientation and anxiety. He behaves as though he doesn't know us, growls, hides, won't go out or eat. Its like he's a strange dog we don't know. He's had a check up and blood work done at the vet - everything appears normal. Could our dog have a brain tumor or some other neurological problem??

The best thing you can do is get your dog referred to a neurologist. Most practices dont have the specialist equipment needed to investigate situations like these and can only do so much. Disorientation and anxiety is not uncommon in seizures but if these symptoms are new and causing the dog a lot of distress then its always better to get these things checked out. Ask you vet to refer you on
