Drooling is one of those wide open symptoms. Without looking at your cat it's so hard to say. I would take her to the vet and have them do an exam. Could she have gotten into something toxic.Something as simple as a certain smell that didn't sit well will make a cat drool like rubbing alcohol. Chemicals or she licked on something can set the drooling off as well which is why I would suggest taking her in. Cats can be mischevious and inquisitive at times whether or not you have an eye on them. They find things you wouldn't even think about to get into. The vet can also check her mouth out really well to make sure theres not a tooth problem .That can sometimes lead to drooling. Wish you the best!

The other possibility is that your cat is having problems with his or her teeth. Often older cats will develp serious gum and teeth problems and if the mouth is painful, sometimes the pet will drool. When your cat is taking a nap, the saliva continues to come out of the mouth and you see the wet spot where he/she has been sleeping. Your vet will need to examine your cat's mouth (as well as the rest of her) to determine if there is a physical reason for the drooling. Good luck. Dr. Jan

I was just inquiring on an update to see if your cat is having any continued drooling? Just curious. I would be glad to know.
