I have a 4 month old, 2 1/2 pound Chihuahua. I know that they are not supposed to have onions. I had about 6 slices of cooked onion on a plate and left the room. When I came back she had eaten them. What should I do?? Is she going to be alright?

Onions (and garlic or chocolate) are very harmful to a dog, so you'll need to take your Chihuahua to the vet asap to counteract the effects of the toxicity. Immediate symptoms usually include vomiting and diarrhea. Dogs are very quick to get into stuff, so always make sure to keep these deadly foods out of reach. Our best to your Chihuahua.
