Is it safe to give a small dog small amounts ( less than 1/4 tsp) of butter on small pieces of toast?

If your dog has no other health issues like being over weight or having had pancreatitis previously then it should be OK. YOu would be better off though in terms of fewer calories just to give it plain and I am pretty sure your dog won't care!
