my dog has a hard black spot on his tummy.something is under the skin everybody says it could be a tick.what do you think it is

A tick is not going to bury its whole body under the skin, only its tiny mouthparts go into the skin the rest of its big body stay above the skin. If you think something is under the skin you should probably get this checked by your vet.
Does your dog seemed bothered by it and is his skin red and irritated?
