Could these be eggs

When my dog wakes up in the morning, he has red small rice shaped things around the fur of his butt. Could you tell me what these might be. He is diabetic. At first I thought they were from small scrubs and bushes, since his poodle type fur catches everything

    Hello. These sound like tapeworm segments.  There are dewormers available that will take care of them (Cestex or Droncit).  Dogs get these type of worms from eating an infected flea (which got the tapeworms from biting an infected dog...)  Make sure your dog stays on a good flea preventative.
