I noticed most answers to allergy problems suggest antihistamines (benadryl or loratadine)but they don't say how much to give your dog. My dog is a 60 lb labrador/pit bull mix

It is best to consult your veterinarian for the most effective dose for the antihistamines to ensure the best effect and safety margin. A call to them may be all it takes. Usually, for a 50-60 lb dog you can safetly give 1 (one) 25 mg Benadryl up to twice a day. Depending on the issue it is being used for your veterinarian may have a lower or higher ideal dose. You can start with that but definetly call your veterinarian for his/her advice.
