boxer weak legs

my 9 yr old boxer this morning was normal then all of a sudden he couldn't keep standing on his rear legs they flopped, later he was okay then a hour ago he got up and his front legs splayed out in front of him and i am worried. someone said their dog had myasthenia gravis that was like this, another said brain tumor. what gives?? HELP.

    The things your friends have mentioned are possible but they are way down the list of likely problems. It is more likely to be arthritis, but really he needs to be examined by a vet to rule out the common things first. If it is not musculoskeletal then the vet might want to do blood tests to look for metabolic causes.
