My 4 year old cat refuses to use her litter box if it has been used just once, how can I break her of this?

You probably can't really. The best solution is to provide several small litter boxes around the house or at least use alot more litter in the one box. Is she able to go outside? Alot of cats hate litter boxes and prefer to go out if possible.
