eye discharge

my boxer has an eye discharge that has a strong odor. what is it? how can we treat it?

    Hi

    Any mucoid eye discharge usually means bacterial conjunctivitis, but being a boxer, I would also be concerned that the dog could have a corneal ulcer. That can get serious if left untreated so I would advise getting the eye checked by your vet.
