NO - tylentol is TOXIC to dogs and so is Advil, Aleve, etc.

Please do not give any human medications to your puppy.  Your pup is likely sore from the vaccines but should not be in pain of any sort unless the vaccine was accidently given in the muscle (then- some soreness can arise).  What it sounds like is your puppy had a vaccine reaction and is now depressed/lethargic.  This is a normal response.  What may help your puppy for the next round of shots is to divide the vaccines up - give one on one day and give the second a few days later.  Or you can ask your vet to premedicate him with benadryl to prevent another reaction.

Vaccines are the act of injecting a form of illness into your pet to allow your dog's immune system to build antibodies against the disease so that if they are ever faced with the real thing - their body can defend itself.  It is supposed to make them feel ill - it's part of the process. Again,  I suggest that you tell your vet about his reaction so they can better prepare your puppy for his next round of shots.

    NO HUMAN MEDICATIONS! :O)

Hope that helped - A. Williams, DVM
